I remember being little and watching my mom dabble in floristry, puff paint t-shirts, homecoming mums, and sewing. She always had a new project. I never understood why she jumped from one creative outlet to the next. Fast forward 20+ years and I can tell you that I've ONLY (insert sarcastic tone here) dabbled in quilting, painting, sewing, home decorating, jewelry making, and photography. And I can tell you that I now understand her need to create. It was in her genetic make up to create regardless of the medium. It's in mine, too. Photography happened to be the creative outlet that most satisfied me and I was fortunate enough to be able to transition that art from hobby to business.
Heartspun has come a long way over the last 7 years and I'm very proud of what it has become. I've burned the midnight oil many, many nights working to make it better. I'm happy to say that it continues to be a very satisfying outlet for me.
Miranda has recently jumped on board with me. She oversees editing, custom products, and anything that might involve her graphic design expertise. I think we make a pretty great team.
