Heartspun meets Studio Bloom

Laura emailed me about a shoot for her sweet bunch and if you know me, you know how VERY nervous I get when it comes to photographing another photographer's family.  It's a mixed bag of emotions - extremely honored to have been picked mixed with crazy anxiety.  Being a photographer mom, I know how much time we invest in other's images and so I wanted to be sure that Laura's own family pictures were extra special.  Mom did a fabulous job dressing her crew and with such beauty, I couldn't go wrong.

 

Audrey the Pro!

Little Audrey is a familiar face on the Heartspun blog and we have had a couple of years for Audrey to warm up to Miss Viv.  She turned on the charm and you'd never know it by looking at her sweet face that she was not feeling well.  She worked her smiles for the camera regardless of not feeling well and so she has truly become a Heartspun pro :)  Hope you're better, Sweet Girl!

Spring has sprung!

The Woo children are Chubbyfoot "expats", but in Mac's absence I had the opportunity to step in and photograph these beautiful faces!  I'm a lucky girl.  These big kids were fun to shoot and required no silly songs or tricks.  They've obviously had plenty of experience in front of the camera ;)  Glad I got my turn!

Darby is here and so is The Haven!

Our friends, Chelle and Brandon, welcomed their sweet baby girl.  She has the most delicate red, newborn hair and a beautiful porcelain complexion.  I was glad we were able to get together while little Darby still looks like a newborn.  Congratulations, Brandon and Chelle! Love you guys and that sweet Darby, too.

Item #2:  The Haven
Some good friends of mine recently decided to realize their dream and open a fun boutique here in town.  If you're looking for unique pieces of furniture, gifts, and even children's clothing you must come visit The Haven in small-town Crosby, TX.  They kindly allowed me to use their shop for Darby's newborn shoot.  They have the coziest bed in the shop and amazing windows which translates into amazing light!  It was perfect.  Thanks for your hospitality!

Beautiful Lucy and her beautiful mom

Mom emailed me a few weeks ago wanting a special shoot for her special Lucy.  She even scouted out a new little spot that I loved and may have to go back to.  We fought mosquitos, humidity, and even a little poison ivy, but Lucy was a trooper.  Can you tell by all of her faces that she is full of spunk and personality?  That's how I like 'em.  P.S.  managed to coax mom into a few shots.  just had to get a few pictures of that gorgeous hair and complexion.

Sweet Little Emma

This tiny princess had the daintiest features and was so cuddly in her soft pink outfits.  She was a trooper and stayed awake for our entire shoot not wanting to miss a thing.  In case you can't tell by the pictures, Mom and Dad are completely head over heels for their sweet little Emma and watching them love on their new baby filled me with happiness.

The Cantrell Family

This family makes me excited about future years with my own little crew.  Mom and Dad are empty nesters, but distance has not affected their close bond.  They seemed to have so much fun together during our shoot so I can imagine that they're always that way together!  I don't often see families with "big kids" so kudos to this bunch for making it happen.
