So, I've been photographing this sweet family for a couple of years and while mom and dad may not have noticed a dramatic difference, I can definitely tell from year to year how little ones change when they're in front of the camera. Maggie and Wyatt are no exception :) They were great and brought much personality to their shoot.
The Zucha Family
Thursday, October 27, 2011
I met mom, Dana, when we taught kindergarten together and she is one extraordinary lady. A great teacher, wife, mom, and friend. I was so happy to be able to photograph her sweet family. Many of you already know the Zucha family. Their son, Weston, is somewhat of a local celebrity ;) but for those of you who don't know them you can visit Weston's EB Warrior Facebook Page.
Halloween Cuties
Wednesday, October 19, 2011
Spent the afternoon with some adorable faces and costumes. Last year, we shot at my in laws house along their tattered fence and fall foliage. This year, we (thanks Buffy) found a precious front porch with the perfect rocker and black shutters. Thanks, Christy, for sharing your adorable exterior with us. So cute!

I don't often do engagement sessions, but I love them. It's a lot of fun to play around and get creative with 2 grown ups! We went on a little scavenger hunt and I think we came upon some pretty perfect and romantic spots.
Birthday Cousins
Thursday, October 13, 2011
Met this sweet family on a very special day. Two cutie pie cousins were celebrating their very first birthdays. They were quite the pair and the entire family had a great time laughing at their cake-eating, car-sharing antics. Happy FIRST Birthday, sweet ones.
Emmy is 4
Wednesday, October 12, 2011
Emmy turned the big 4 and mom wanted a sweet, little girl shoot for her sweet little girl. I think we nailed it ;) Of course, how can you go wrong with yellow ruffles, flower headbands, and a tea party?!
The Smith Family

I am loving these colors! Mom did a great job outfitting her crew for our shoot together. People often ask what to wear. Truth be told, white shirts and blue jeans are a thing of the past. Color is IN! Patterns are IN! Mixing it up is IN! So, go for it!
We had to reschedule our shoot a couple of times, but the stars finally aligned and we were able to meet. I know it's a lot of work to get so many little ones (and sometimes big ones) ready for a shoot, but the end result is so worth it.
Meet the beautiful Smith family!

I love his name! He had been napping when he arrived to meet me so he warmed up after a few minutes and then we really had a good time. He was so cute holding his little hot wheel and since it wasn't looking like he was willing to part with it, we just had fun with it.
The Brinson Family
Sunday, October 9, 2011
This was my first time to work with the Brinson family and they were great. I never heard a single complaint from either child about having to take pictures :) They were signed up for a 20 minute mini shoot, but they did so great for the camera, we could've wrapped it up in 10 minutes. It's a bit easier with big kids. Those of you with small children will see the difference from year to year. I've seen it time and time again. One year they're running away from me and the next year they're all smiles. Just you wait.
The Rys family

I've been photographing this little one since she was a newborn. It is so much fun to see how she grows and how different she is at every stage. Mom and Dad do a good job of keeping up with Audrey's milestones via pictures and I'm happy to be the one to capture it all. Thanks, guys!
