Ann and I have been corresponding via email for a few months trying to coordinate this shoot for her little family. Her son is a senior and daughter, Hannah, in middle school and it's been many years since they've had pictures made. We made it easy for Zach and threw in a few senior pictures and I'm fairly confident that he is thrilled to be done with that, right Mom?! We traveled to a few different locations, but the light that we found towards the end of our shoot by the lake was incredible.
Our last summer adventure....

A week at the beach with my family did my body (and soul) good. Now we're back to business as usual made tolerable only by the memories of a wonderful summer gone by.
Thanks for letting me share.
The Owens Family

Jamie and I grew up together in this tiny, wonderful town of ours. I believe our earliest photograph together was of us sitting ever-so-cutely in the same kindergarten class. Maybe first grade. I had on my finest pair of mauvey pink tennis shoes with Punky Brewster's face on the side. I remember those shoes well. I remember reciting lines from Shel Silverstein's book of poems that we all loved. I remember burying our class pet, a hamster, on school grounds where she likely still rests in peace within that cardboard pencil box that closely resembled a cigar box. Those were the days. Now, we meet as women, as wives, and as mothers. How wonderful it is to grow up in a small town.
This little threesome met me on a sultry afternoon and the heat about did us all in. But we managed to eek out a few smiles despite the heat. Actually, the Owens family has a lot to smile about. You'll have to scroll to the bottom of this post to find out why.
A sweet end to your week

So, I gave in to one of my nicest clients and decided to head over to Sugarbaby's for a photo shoot. Miss Emmy will soon be three and she is the poster child for ruffles, bows, and anything pink. Sugarbaby's was her location. I have to first publicly thank the Miller family for saving the day, though. As I arrived at our shoot I could hear the air spilling out of one of my tires. Dad sent us inside while he took care of the problem. In no time, he had my tire patched up for me and I was SOOOO very thankful that God had watched over me that day. Thanks to them, I made it home safe and sound that day.
Back to Miss Emmaly.
She was absolutely adorable with her beautiful clothes and her baby. And as you can imagine, she enjoyed her cupcake(s). See for yourself.
A baby sister for Audrey: Paisley Grace

For the past few years I've had the privilege of photographing Miss Audrey and I have to say that I always get lots of comments when I post Audrey pictures because she is just a beautiful girl. Well Audrey came to see me today with her sweet baby sister, Paisley. Seeing Paisley immediately took me back to photographing Audrey as a newborn. They have the same newborn face and I'm excited to get to see another beauty of a girl grow. We had a fun morning cuddling Paisley and playing with Audrey.
Kylie and Blake

My precious niece and nephew were in town this past week and I was so happy to get to see them and photograph them. It's been over a year since the last time I had seen them and they have grown so much. Despite the fact that they hadn't seen us in so long they were as sweet as could be and gave "Aunt Viv" the best hugs. I sure wish we could exchange hugs more often, but at least I have current pictures of them on my hard drive to smile at.
Meet Kylie and Blake!

What until you check out this beautiful family of the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. Sweet Ella has a face I could snack on. She is so cute and so smiley! I met this bunch at their home and it was the perfect setting for their family pictures. We had to reschedule a time or two, but we finally made it happen a couple of weeks ago. If only all shoots were so easy. They just laughed and loved while I snapped away.
