Merry Christmas

May I extend the warmest thank you for such a wonderful season and for the wonderful comments that  I soak up with an elephant-sized grin on my face?  May I offer you a virtual cup of hot chocolate and a shortbread cookie to show you how much I appreciate you? 

I do. I really do.  

It's been a successful year in my business venture and I have you to thank.  I appreciate every second you spend picking apart my photographs and every comment that you type and every word of encouragement that you offer.  I'll be back on January 5th.  It's time for me to focus on my family and celebrate the birth of my Lord and Savior.  Enjoy your loved ones, too.

 

The HaHa Girls

If you've followed the blog for at least a year you may remember the Ha Ha Girls when they came around last year at this time for pictures in their gorgeous petticoats.  This year we met at the Kemah boardwalk for scenery befitting of their colorful ensembles.

I can only imagine the chaos involved in getting three sassy girls dressed and accessorized in the mornings.  I was literally chasing my daughter this morning with a brush and detangler in hand and I couldn't imagine getting 2 more dressed.  But, I'm sure the chaos is worth it because they look oh-so-adorable.

The Williams: A Family shoot

Mandi and I have been friends for a loooooong time.  A long time.  She was always a free spirit and I've really grown to love that about her.  I can go months without talking to her and if I called her up in the middle of the night, asked her for 1000 bucks, and told her not to ask me any questions, I think she'd only ask me if I'd like 100 dollar bills or 20 dollar bills and where to meet me with the cash.  She is very giving in so many ways.  I'm happy that she is so happy with her beautiful son and has a man that loves her the way he loves her.

Sweet girl, Brooklyn, had a special Christmas outfit that most definitely deserved its own photoshoot.

This was a completely spontaneous picture that made for a completely precious picture.

The Cole Family Shoot

We met this past Sunday early in the morning hoping that the fog would be better than it was on our original shoot date.  However, we awoke to a dense, wet fog and decided to brave the shoot anyways and honestly I don't think you'd ever know it to see these pictures.  They're bright and colorful and full of life.  Then again, life with 2 girls could never be dull...not even on a foggy day.

I've had clients tell me that they feel I bring out the best in them, but I really feel that they bring out the best in me.  Macy and Abby's energy kept me on my toes and made for fun shots.  I love this one of all of them.

And I caught this one as Abby was getting off the slide.  It's beautiful in all of its unfocused glory.  I had to share it with you.

Baby Ella's Debut

You'll recall that I photographed The Stark Family back in September when they were still a family of 4.  Baby Ella made her entrance into the world just a few short weeks ago and I had the priviledge of taking her first photographs and presenting this beautiful newborn to you.

They look so pleased with what they made. 

As well they should be.

I absolutely adore this mother/daughter shot.  It is so soft and understated, but so full of emotion.

Oh, what a wonderful Christmas this will be for the Starks.
