I want some of these "Mom" genes! Is it too late to come by these? Beautiful, beautiful girls in this family.
The little bro and the new sis

This, Friends, is my baby brother and his sweet wife. They are really a perfect match and we feel so blessed to have them both. They're kind, gentle, and have such sweet spirits. My brother is a person with integrity like no one I know. It would have to be a special girl to capture his heart and Marcy is special indeed.

Lance the baby
Sunday, October 26, 2008
Here we have "Lance the Baby" whose namesake is "Lance the Astros Player." Despite the name commonality, you'll agree that Lance the baby's cheeks are much cuter :)

Lance and Mommy are new clients from Conroe. I'd say about 90% of my clientele is local so I was tickled that they drove so far to see me and very excited to have had the privilege of taking Lance's first photographs.
And though we began the session as strangers we had plenty to converse about during the shoot. Of course, the headliner was this sweet boy.
I love his delicate fingernails...
and his little legs curled up like a frog...
and the feel of his soft skin in his soft, fleece costume.
HEARTSPUN NEWS:
I've been thinking of doing this for several weeks, but of course I'm doing this last minute! I've been thinking of doing a "Birthday Club" type of thing where at the beginning of every month I have one Saturday morning devoted to Birthday Kids.
These will be 30 minute mini sessions for $125. They will all be back to back and at one location and are limited to one child per shoot. I thought this might be a good solution for parents wanting to have their children photographed for their birthdays, but maybe not wanting a full session.
What it includes:
30 minute session
15 images on CD
2-3 featured on the blog
The catch:
only one child per shoot
I must fill at least 4 spots
must be willing to go to the designated locatio
Sooooo....I'm going to just give it a whirl for this Saturday morning. The times begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Crosby Park. This may not work out for this month since it's last minute so I'm going to give it a couple of months and depending on the response, I will keep it going or let the idea die.
If you would like a mini session this Saturday morning, contact me ASAP via email.
Friday = Blog Break
Friday, October 24, 2008
No pics to post today, but I wanted to thank everyone for checking the blog this week and all of your sweet comments! I love reading them and it is so uplifting to know that you're reading, looking, and leaving behind some kind words.
Check back on Monday!
Four days in a row
Wednesday, October 22, 2008
I was going to take a blogging break, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to blog pictures of my favorite daughter who gets yummier and squishier by the day.
Her colorful leg warmers were handmade by babysitter extraordinaire Britty who's off at TAMU whooping it up. We miss you!
And she's FINALLY showing signs of wanting to crawl. She hops up on all fours rather gracefully now. She's still not moving, but she sure is trying hard.
I don't think I've ever blogged about this nor documented this very special thing about Natalie. A client asked me if I had taken pictures of her special birthmark when it dawned on me that I hadn't. Natalie has a special birthmark on her chest that is known as a hemangioma. It was not present at birth, but appeared when she was about three weeks old. The very unique thing about her hemangioma is that it is in the shape of a heart. Soon it will start to fade and it will no longer be visible so I wanted to make sure to have a good clear picture of her special stamp to show her one day.
And oooone more for good measure...
Newborns are for such a short time
I just can't believe Natalie was this small seven months ago. The little dumpling made her debut shortly after Hurricane Ike.

I love it when newborn's stretch into that "S" curl where they arch their backs. Almost makes me want another. LOL.
You'll remember Kim from her maternity pictures this summer. She's quite the fashionista like her momma
And finally, break time!
The battle of the costumes
Monday, October 20, 2008
So, the ladies had their turn in their sweet, girlie-girl costumes and now it's the boys' turn!
.
I love October, the fall, Halloween, the cool air so it was a real treat to get to shoot 2 costume sessions last week - boys AND girls! The cutest thing was watching the mommas behind the scenes. They are so smitten with their boys.
Girls just wanna have fun

A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E
This threesome reminded me of mini Charlie's Angels. Our original plan was to shoot these pixies at Mercer Arboretum, but the morning of our shoot we discovered that Mercer was closed due to hurricane damage. We quickly changed plans and it worked out just fine.

Now as gorgeous as the weather has been, we happened to pick a day when the humidity was high and we were all hot and bothered. Even the fairies were ready to call it a day.
Before we left, we had a wardrobe change and I just love these three tiny tots trying so hard to get into the church to rescue Baby Jesus. LOL...
And the coordinator herself...
