My own LaneyCakes

So I know that one day my son will just not find it acceptable for his mom to refer to him as 'LaneyCakes', but for now he doesn't care and so LaneyCakes it is.  His middle name is 'Lane' hence the term.  As of Friday afternoon I had 2 appts. scheduled for the weekend but Sat. morning's appt was cancelled due to rain and Sunday's appt was cancelled because the baby I was shooting went in for vaccinations and wasn't feeling so hot!  Michelle, if you're reading I'm so sorry we didn't get to shoot this weekend.  I was excited to meet your family.  Please do call me to reschedule and I will do my best to work you in whenever you want.  Anyhow, I decided it would be a good time to photograph my favorite subject of all... Ethan 'LaneyCakes' Killion!  Here are the 3 shots that I'm blowing up and hanging in his room.

In case you're wondering how I got such a big laugh on the next photo you'll have to see the movie 'Night at the Museum.' If you've seen it then the line, "Gum Gum for my Dum Dum" may sound familiar to you.  It works.

There were so many beautiful, Japanese-style vignettes to shoot and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful model.

The above shot reminds me of Sex and the City.  Oh how I would love to visit NY!  For now, Hermann Park will suffice.  I will be traveling to Chicago over Spring Break so I will get my big city fix then, but I 'heart' NY and WILL go one day.  Perhaps, Cass will accompany me so we can take more beautiful pictures together! How about it, Cass?
